Any hour
Add value at midnight or before dawn — the form does not keep office hours the way a station machine does.
busabutop is an independent bus card recharge service for Abu Dhabi. Add value to a hafilat card in minutes — no counter queue, no app, no account. Open the form, enter the card number, choose an amount, confirm.
No app, no account. The whole thing fits between two buses.
Head to the recharge page — the form lives there, not cluttering this page.
Type the 10-digit number printed on the front of your hafilat card. Nothing is charged at this step.
Choose a preset or set a custom amount from AED 5 to AED 500 to match your travel plans.
Review and confirm. A new balance is normally ready within minutes and syncs the next time the card is tapped.
A hafilat card is the contactless smart card used to pay fares on public buses across the Abu Dhabi Emirate. You tap it on the reader when you board and the fare comes off the stored balance.
The card is a thin plastic smart card with a printed reference number on the front — the number you enter to start a top up bus card transaction. Categories differ in price and eligibility: Standard (Silver) for everyday riders, Personal issued in the holder's name, plus Senior and Student cards with a reduced fare once the status is registered.
Independent service — not the operator of the hafilat network.
Add value at midnight or before dawn — the form does not keep office hours the way a station machine does.
Pay with a Visa or Mastercard issued in the UAE. No searching for coins before the bus arrives.
The whole flow reads in English or Arabic, so a household can use whichever is comfortable.
Payment data is entered over an encrypted connection and handled by the payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
